Dr Munindra Kr. Mazumdar is a senior Mathematics teacher of Maria’s Public School, Guwahati. He is a student at heart, always learning and pushing his own boundaries. He never missed a chance to attend workshops organized by the CBSE for faculty members. He is often invited as a resource person to conduct similar workshops for his fellow teachers. He has conducted many workshops to popularize mathematics among school students and parents in the entire north eastern region and within the state of Assam in particular. He also adopted the method of joyful learning in Mathematics and makes the learning fun. He has received National award from Ministry of Science and Technology Communication, 2018 New Delhi, India for outstanding contribution popularizing Mathematics through print media. He has also Received National award from NCERT, New Delhi for Innovative practices in class room.
Dr. Mazumdar has continued to study and research. Many of his articles have been well appreciated and published not only by regional newspapers and magazines but also by National and International ones. He has presented papers about popularizing mathematics at the different places in India and abroad. Some of them are –

Dr. Mazumdar loves mathematics and he feels pain when he sees his students struggle with mathematics. He recognizes the lapse in our education system and knows that the problem starts at the elementary level. Books on popularizing mathematics among children are very few in our country. Dr. Mazumdar, a young mathematics enthusiast, has made some progress in this direction by writing books and articles not only to popularize mathematics but also to lend a hand to the fans of mathematics. Hoping to bridge the gaps he has already published 18 books to provide students with tools that will help them to understand simple mathematical concepts.
